Is there an afterlife?

Heard a lot about paranormal activities , abstract haunting experience are somehow associated with afterlife .
Is there an after life ... what is the belief about the soul . What happens after death and does the spirit chooses their own world or do they continue in this sphere?
If there is a login for afterlife , is that accurately depicted in movies or shows based on true stories like 'HAUNTING' . Evidently , the show has came up with lot of artifacts that shows unearthly powers like daemons .
Any views .. or any recommendation to watch any movie / video or story that envisions such mysteries ....

To answer the question in a simple way from what I have learned is that yes, there can be an afterlife for some. For some, this life is all they will have. It all depends on how we live this life. So the choice is ours to make.

Talk about afterlife linked with faith, because it can't be proven by humans with their science. But, I think, our thought will think about why we live here and where our soul after it leave this world. Is it just stay at the peace place without responsibility though they do some cheats when it live in the world, so how the good people after they die, whether they have same place with the people who make some cheats when they live in the world? If the answer is good people and bad people will placed in the same place after die, is it fair?

@srisahara well I have a slight contradiction here . There are now freelancing crews who inspect haunting places . Besides , there would be electronically updated to sense the energy/presence of some paranormal species .

I saw so many movies related to afterlife but I don't believe in that.
