I posted "The Recovery Show with Bernie Z" for today a little bit ago. It's the shortest episode but it talks about how addictions are less noticeable during the holidays. Some of the addictions that are most active and least seen during the holidays are: 1: over eating and related issues with food. 2. Alcoholism because more people are drinking socially at this time. 3. Shoplifting because of the increased activities at the stores. 4. Gambling as many families do this together as part of their holiday gathering. Below is the link to the episode. What other addictions might you see but not recognise during the holidays?
The Shortest Episode Of "The Recovery Show With Bernie Z". It is a talk about addictions during the holiday and how they can be hidden within the season.

@Jessicalynnt When I was young Thanksgiving and Christmas were the big family get togethers. The 'adults' would get together and play Poker, and other card games. Not to be left out the kids would mimic the behavior with other games.

@Berniezeitler We always did puzzles, and watch tv, and eat whatever we wanted. If poker was played, which was rare, one got so many mnms to bet with, you ate your winnings, it counted as losing and you were out, lol

@Jessicalynnt They sure do. Many go to the casinos on the holidays. I don't ever want to do that as that's not what the holidays are for!!!
