Mouse in the House

Under my kitchen sink is an opening that goes to the belly of my mobile home. Who built this piece of garbage I'll never know and why it's like that defies my imagination. I have had 'visitors' make their way into that area; even a family of opossums. The other night I saw some of my cats going bonkers in the kitchen. They were chasing an itty-bitty, tiny mouse. They had it cornered several times but thought it was just something to 'play' with. I tried to catch it myself, but he was just so small that I couldn't cup him in my hands. He finally ran under the stove and I figured he'd make his way back into the cabinet and out of the house from pure fear. I had been on the computer the next morning when the phone rang and when I got up to answer it, what was laying in the middle of the living room floor? The poor, little, baby mouse; dead as a rock. Now how I couldn't have heard the cats scuffling around, I don't know. I picked up the poor thing and didn't see any teeth or claw marks, so I'm assuming that it had a heart attack from sheer fear of 6 cats going after it. I took it outside and buried it in the front yard by my Kansas Pine.

They come in from the cold here and I have poison up in the attic for them to feast on. We don't have pets so I'm no worried about anyone getting a poisoned mouse.
