Finally, 12 Christmas trees are made!

Crocheted Christmas trees

We are going to visit an orphanage later, and I just managed to finish crocheting the 12 little Christmas trees with stars on top of them. I didn't anticipate I have to do the last minute work, but I have to wake up early this morning to finish the last two stars. It's actually quite nice and joyful to see the colorful trees. My children already requested me to make more trees for them to hang on the garland. I am also thinking of making a few more for the neighbor kids. So, I will be busy crocheting the trees again. Hope all the children, including my children will enjoy the orphanage visit later. Image: The crocheted Christmas trees with stars - the tree at the bottom right is actually purple, but it became navy in the photo.

@hereandthere That's a good idea! Actually I really want to make some crafts for the children, but I really don't have much time for that, and it's so near to Christmas now. Valentine's day is another good day to give some gifts to the children, and hearts are nice to make too. Though the next big festival for us is Chinese New Year, I can't think of what to make for the children for Chinese New Year. Hearts will be good! Thanks for giving me such a good idea, as Valentines' Day is a good day to share our love with others as well!

Thanks. I think it should be able to complete one in 30 minutes. I didn't count, as I just crochet whenever I have some free time. I also crochet when I am in mylot. We are just trying to share a little bit of our time and love, and we wish the children would be happy because of our visit, as there are still people who care for them. Those children are very friendly and lovely. There is an elderly woman taking care of them, 12 of them, and I really respect her, as it's not easy to take care of our own one or two children, and she has to take care of 12. She told me, she treats them as her own grandchildren as they have been together for more than a year.

Thanks. I like the orange as well. At first my son only wanted me to make green and white, as he said there's no trees of other colors. But then when he saw my colorful trees, he liked them very much and wanted me to make more colorful ones.

Thanks. These little trees were given to the kids in the orphanage we visited today. I might do some more for my children and other neighbors' kids.

Thanks. I always don't work on one thing at a time, which is not really good, so I can't really tell the time. I think it takes less than 30 minutes to crochet one. Here is the pattern if you are interested to make one.
Enjoy this cute Christmas Tree Pattern. You can add this cute tree to your Christmas Tree or a present. Just add a ribbon to the tree . This tree pattern is easy to make, but there is a video below if you need help. Enjoy~

@kaka135 Thank you, happymum! Did you realize I know how to crochet, or were you posting that to me as a joke? Either way, I like it! I may give this a try. Thank you, again!

@DaddyEvil It was not a joke at all. I am a very serious person. From your question, I was guessing you might know how to knit or crochet. Just give it a try, even if you don't crochet, it can still be your first project.

You have such busy hands. Very nice and you are generous and your children are as well. They learn it from you. Have a great visit at the orphanage and at the neighbors'.

Those are so nice, and what a great thing to go visit the orphanage and bring those! I need to learn to do more crafty things like that, but I'm lazy. I have an afghan I started 10 years ago that is only about 5 rows.

I can't believe this was already a year ago. I was wondering when I made 12 Christmas trees. Believe me, these Christmas trees are much easier to do. I don't think I have patience to make afghan or blanket anytime now, I prefer to make something small. Try to small items, perhaps it will not make you that lazy. Wishing you a joyful and peaceful year!

@kaka135 Thank you, same to you! I didn't even realize this post was a year old, it was suggested to me because I'd commented on some holiday posts and I didn't notice the year!

Thanks. I hope the kids love them. We didn't hand them to the kids directly, but gave to the management. But the lady who takes care of them thank us for being so caring. I really appreciate it.
