Were Happy sharing the Xmas Goods

Hello Lotters, So we did open the box and it turns out the box was just full and probably didn't get much hand care that it tore bits of it. But the contents were intact and there was no sight of tampering (thank god). Well, who wouldn't want to tamper box filled with expired goods. Yup, that's right, expired goods. Because Dad kept them for so long he didn't realize the expiry date, but compare to the last time, there isn't much and most of it are still okay until 2017 We're scared at first because Grandma might attempt to control it again and start meddling what's inside. But when she mentioned "trash" on the box, we opened with a smiley face We're just like kids again opening presents but this time we organized them and segregate them for the three of us siblings. we give the eldest even though he wasn't around. In the end, Im glad my brother didn't leave and chose to wait for mom, because we couldn't open it with out her around. I got myself a watch and a digicam, not newly purchased but it''s good enough for christmas treat. He sent an old fashioned camera too, but no one uses films anymore, in fact the old film studio here closed years ago

I think that sometimes we dismiss the old items for new ones and they usually are as good as the new stuff possibly even better.

Hello @lokisdad well, new stuff are probably expensive there so i bet he bought in a junk shop or shelter or something. I know my grandma told me stuff but buying in a second hand store. but still happy he even took time to do it.

It's fun to open boxes like that - I understand the feeling of being a kid again! Out here, I have only found 1 place locally that processes film (I found out earlier in the year when my oldest had to use disposable cameras in her classroom) - it's HARD to find such places these days.

@Letranknight2015 It's probably not cost effective anymore. And it's not healthy as there are more chemicals involved. Everyone has turned to digital so the "demand" for the film system is not there. I know, I have an awesome film camera in which I would love to take more photos, but well, I know it's going to take a long to process plus it's going to cost me so much more.

Hello @much2say I wonder why they shut that off when there's just so many filmed related cameras left. now i got two cameras and not of use at all, wished those processing centers were still around.

I consider myself as an adult (for the most part!) and yet like a kid, I enjoy opening packages for me. Even though I am the one who purchased it from Amazon, for example, I still feel that rush and anticipation and excitement of seeing for myself the contents of the box for me.

Hello @Raine38 it's so not normal when you feel frustrated for getting the present or the one you don't like. I was happy that i did see some new stuff out there, because sometimes getting new (not newly purchase), it could be use for something
