The thin line between legal and illegal.

Everyone here knows that I love to garden. And I pride myself that my garden is not made out of plants bought in a nursery, but I beg for cuttings, steal seeds and exchange plants. My cacti´s offspring are in many gardens of my friends and family. Some time ago an occational acquaintance gave me a couple of little round seeds. I asked what they were and she told me they were marihuana seeds. The seeds did not burn my hands so I brought them home. In my country it is legal to use marihuana for health. I don´t exactly know what that means as I did not need any help of meds when I was in chemo. They also sell (and it is legal) a sort of marihuana oil or oinyment for joints. I bought a small bottle and it didn´t do any good. I don´t know where I placed it. And now about the seeds. I don´t want to smoke marihuana. In fact, I don´t even want to smoke a ciggie anymore although I love to be near someone who is smoking nearby. But I do want to plant the seeds. I saw a marihuana plant once and they are beautiful. To plant or not to plant/ that is the question. I have the suspicion that is illegal. I wonder who plants the "legal" marihuana for health purposes. Is it a health purpose to be happy with one´s garden? What would you do?

There are plenty of other things to grow that don't contravene any laws

I'd throw them out. If you did plant them and enjoyed the plant you would worry and wonder. Better to be done with it.

@celticeagle I remember that I used to buy a certain cough med. Now it is against the law, unless you have a doctor´s prescription.

It´s so weird about how things change with time. I used to make plant holders with hemp. Now I can only have artificial fiber cords.

Check online whether it is or isn't legal. And then follow the rules.

I know that it is illegal to plant several plants. But I don´t know if it is illegal to have one or two. Good idea, I´ll check. Truth is, I just want it for the beauty and the curiosity. I have smoked marihuana a couple of times in my life and nothing happens. So it´s not for me.

I wouldn't grow it. It is against the law in my country. The possibility to get into trouble with the law or my neighbors would stop any thought of growing it.

I guess I would have to have an helicopter flying over my house to see it. My neighbors wouldn´t mind.

I still would like to know how much trouble would I get into for growing one plant in a container.
