Too Much Picture Editing!

I was informed by my friend that he send me a copy of a book through his friend that visits Singapore. So I asked him what does his friend looks like. He gave me a link of a facebook account.
So when husband and I reached the place, I kept on looking around the area and keeping an eye for people with blue shirts. One lady came to us and greeted us. She is the girl we are looking for. She handed us the book and bid goodbye.
Her picture and herself in reality looks totally different. What's up with the people using too much picture editing for their photos? Now! Picture Paints a Thousand ‘Lies'! Tsk!
Have you known someome that looks totally different in person and on their public posted photos in social media sites?

Well, I will not understand that. Moreover, I thought the picture we show in Facebook should be the real us, as we are showing the picture to our friends in Facebook. Perhaps I am wrong or I am too old fashioned.
Glad that she managed to recognize you.

@wiLLmaH I do not have many young friends in Facebook or real life, so I have no idea about this. I have seen my husband's cousin who is still a high school student like to post funny or ugly faces of herself in profile picture. I wonder if it's the trend of the youngsters now.

@kaka135 Actually even at the range of my age, some people need to edit it first before posting it. haha! Someone always approaching me just to hit the "like" button on her photos. As if there is a price for most like pictures in facebook haha!

what you see in my pictures is the real me. I do not mind taken in my ugliest face, whether I frown, smile or laugh, that is me.

I have found that true for lots of people. Most people seem to post old pictures of them when they were younger. When I was in my 20's and signed up on a few dating sites I was caught off guard once or twice when I met the person in the flesh.

Most people I know look like their pictures, but I have seen people who used pictures that were about 20 years old!
