In answer to @TRBergstrom on his post Do you believe in God? Not sure how to define this.Do I believe in God?not sure I know that there is someone up there.Let me say I am Italian catholic and went to catholic school and this is where it turns me off.The kept pushing about God over and over again. That I got tired of this. The same in Sunday school.God name is still haunting and over and over and over again. You ask me if I believe in God? Remember I was a kid and a child. I have not been to church for some time. The Catholic church has change so much and turns me of. But:Pope Francis may save me on going back to church and my belief in God. At this time I have not found this.Maybe some day who knows I had enough of this in all of my school years. That is my rant on this.

The best thing is what there is between you and God and not really what has changed in the church

Churches have always turned me off from religion. That's why i don't go. I don't feel you have to go to believe. And you can do your own thing from home. That's just my opinion. If anything churches just piss me off anymore

We can over push our kids, but perhaps God believes in you and has given you blessings to share with us. I believe it is important to connect to a church. I do not believe there is one true church, but one true God. It is important to separate the two.

When we lived in Europe. Several nuns got pregnant by a father and the babies were aborted and thrown in the trash. My dad investigated it and closed the case. Noone ever knew until years alot of years later and than the information was never released to the public. These reports were in sealed documents that my nosy brother and me read years ago.

I believe in God but I don't go to church because I haven't found one that is a fit for me. I don't believe you have to go to church to be a Christian.
