I was incredibly adventurous today. Thai food is something I've never tried before, but a group of us met up and popped to a popular pub which sells Thai food. Oh. Goodness. It was heavenly and divine. The actual service left a lot to be desired, but the quality and deliciousness of the scrummy food more than made up for the grumpy staff. I met up with a friend in town and as we dilly-dallied to the pub I let her natter on about this, that and everything. I nodded in all the right places, laughed appropriately and simply enjoyed the Italian accent. We went *into* the roundabout. I had no idea! There's this humongous roundabout in town, and I generally skirt around the edge of it, crossing the roads at the pedestrian crossings. It transpires that the humongous roundabout has a subway {not an American subway, silly ... an English subway, which goes under the road, like an inside-out bridge} and inside the roundabout, below road level, there's a lovely little area with trees and prettiness. Golly. Later, after the pub food and a coffee in Tesco {they were giving out free samples of Prosecco and cheese - how could we resist?}, I discovered a serene stroll back into town along the river, negating the need to worry about traffic and too many cyclists. It was wet and windy by now, but I was cosy in my own little bubble of friendship. We went from two to seven to four and back to two. And from town to pub to river to town. A full circle. I'm a tad tired now though! Sleepy time!
