Even though it's sweltering hot and experiencing the summer season, the Australians subscribe to the Northern Hemisphere Christmas tradition of snow flakes, winter clad Santa Claus, Winter-themed motifs like fireplace, warm food like roasts pork or turkey. I have adjusted though- for Christmas dinner, I will have salads, cold ham, prawns and oysters, plus the traditional pavlova for the dessert. It will just be my daughter and I as hubby and son are working. What would you have for your Christmas dinners?

Jabo @jaboUK my hubby was originally from New Zealand and we used to have those traditional roasted meat, but it doesn't soot the tropical weather that we are experiencing nowadays. Have a very good and memorable celebration.

@fishtiger58 It is tiring making all that food but once done is enjoyable. We ate early as the kids were going to the movies to see Star Wars and had to be there by two o'clock and the drive there is over an hour. We had turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, veggies, stuffing and cranberry sauce. Later we will have desert.

Relatives are coming in for the Noche Buena so they requested me to cook chicken hamonado and pasta. I also have fruit salad and biko. They are coming in with food dishes also so I can't imagine how can I resist the temptation of eating too much tonight.
