The Newport Beach Boat Parade

Recently, I posted a couple of articles about the charming decorated homes on Balboa Island. One of the advantages of living on Balboa Island or in one of the homes that ring Newport Bay is that you have a ringside seat to watch the annual Newport Beach boat parade.
People decorate their boats with lights and parade around the Bay several nights during the month of December.
If you are lucky enough to ride on one of the boats in the parade (which I have done a couple of times), then you have the perfect vantage point to see the beautifully decorated homes that border the bay.
As a result, the people in the homes get to watch the beautifully decorated boats and the people on the boats get to watch the beautifully decorated homes!
I've attached a photo of the famous Balboa Peninsula Pavilion at night. If you were ever a fan of the TV show "The OC," you saw this Pavilion many times.

The boat parade is always special, whether I watch it from shore or get to ride in one of the boats.

That sound like a wonderful event. A friend In on Face Book has posted photos of this happening on the Oregon coast and it made me want to be there. So Beautiful!

It looks gorgeous, do they do anything for like new years or 4th of july also like fireworks? That would be cool to see also

Yes, they also do fireworks for July 4th ... and put flags and bunting all over the island. That is pretty spectacular, too.

Yes, there are a lot of very pretty views here. Of course, I have been to Canada and there is also some gorgeous places there!

it look very good and very nicely decorate so its good and i never visited that country so in future if i go there i must ride that boat and whats other interesting place there..

One year I reserved a room with a balcony overlooking the Christmas boat parade in Marina del Rey. I invited my family over for food and fireworks. I catered the food at Gelson's. When the parade and fireworks were over, we ate while traffic left the area. Then my family drove home, and I got into bed. I paid for the room for the night, so why not? It was all great fun.
