Where is the loving community

Anymore there is no "community". It seems to me that most people are out for themselves or just for their family. We can't trust to let our kids play at the park without watching them like a hawk. I am the type of person that if I see someone that needs help I stop and help them. If a kid wants to go across the monkey bars I will help them. Half the time people get sketchy about me helping. But a true community needs to work together.

You are so right and here on the islands that is how it is. I am not sure in the states but when I was there it wasn't like this. I do go back from time to time because my daughter and her family live there. I saw when the kids were young how dangerous it was to let them even play in front of the house. You always had to walk them to school and walk them home. When I grew up it was never like this so it is strange for me now to see this one.

When I was growing up it was not like that either but now days it is so dangerous to just let your children out of your site.

That is sad, but often is true that people tend to mistrust your motives. It sounds as if you would do well working in a daycare or someplace where you can care and help.

Parents now days have to be careful about who is helping their children.

I really believe that idea that "it takes a village to raise a kid." However, parents do have to be careful which "village" they choose to have around their kids.

I completely agree with you.
