Trying to sprout sunflower seeds

I must admit that I do not always make the best decision when it comes to shopping. I bought a pack of sunflower seeds as the label stated "Sunflower sprout." I just bought without any idea what to do with the sprouts. I figure that I can find the recipes, and find a way to eat the sprouts without poisoning myself. I soak the seeds in water this morning. I wonder how long it takes to sprout, and wonder if it is enough to feed myself.

This discussion made me curious so i searched youtube for tutorial videos on sunflower sprouts recipes. Sunflower sprouts are very healthy food and are eaten as salads. One chef even made it into a guacamole. WOW!!! I never thought sunflower sprouts can be eaten. Thanks @scheng1 for educating me.

The best thing about sprouts is that you can eat it after a week or so. I check the growing period, and most say about 8 days. I do not have land at home, since I live in high rise apartment, so sprouting makes sense,

@scheng1 i hope they do sprout eventually, even if it's just enough to stuff into a sandwich.
