When reporters accept lies told by interviewees...

I'm about to email a reporter who wrote a really excellent story in The Miammi Herald. The problem is, she was lied to repeatedly, and her "facts" have nothing to do with reality! Some journalists will say just about anything, but this one has always been very reliable. I'm glad she named her sources, because I know them well, and the reasons for their lies. My question to you is, to what extent can we rely upon the print and/or broadcast news?

They're not all the same. There are reliable and unreliable newspapers and magazines. At least in Germany.

I try to use my common sense when I read newspapers and think for myself.

As a former journalist, I feel horrible that I agree with you, to some extent!
