I was just commenting on a discussion where I heard on the news that near the world's tallest skyscraper a luxury apartment skyscraper caught fire on about the 50th floor and quickly spread to twenty floors below due to falling burning debris according to CNN. There were twenty plus floors were involved but at least there were no injuries and the fire was under control in about three hours. Hearing a report like this makes me glad that I don't live, or work in a skyscraper though I know fire can happen anywhere.

I'm glad there weren't any injuries. That could have been disastrous. I'm sure there will be a lot of repair work to do.

I can't even imagine how much or how long it will take to repair the damages.

It makes you wonder how on earth they are going to repair something so high. It is like a town in those places shops, restaurants ect. Not for me . Ground level or first floor is handy to get out of quick.

@Marcyaz With twenty floors to work with it won't be anything quick.

I wonder what happened to the things and people on the ground that very moment. If I witnessed that, I might be in shock and immovable state. Luckily, no one hurts.

I would not want to see something like that it would be like a reminder of 911.

@Marcyaz My father who was in Dubai saw that personally. Luckily, he very far away from the main site.

@gr8nana6 For a fire that engulfed so many floors it is unbelievable that there were no deaths.

That is one reason I do not like going up in those skyscrapers as you never know what will happen or how you could go out of there.
