Last night at the New Year's Eve party my husband and I went to, we sat with two couples we never met before. We are from Florida in the USA. One couple was from Ireland and the other from Scotland. I love talking to people that live in a different country than I do. Both of them moved to the USA many years ago. The couple from Scotland has a son that lives very close to my niece about 24 hours from me in New Jersey. What are the chances of meeting someone that is from another country and have their relatives so close to mine. I loved listening to both couples and love the accents. What a great fun night with lovely new friends.

We really did have a nice time and met some nice people. I am still so surprised we were home by 11 but it was okay as I love to watch the ball come down and the entertainment leading up to it and after it. My husband went to bed right after the ball came down as he doesn't like the new kind of music.

It's funny about accents, isn't it? I love the American accent and also the Irish, but have a job understanding the Scots sometimes.

I love hearing different accents and learning about the cultures of different places.

I know, I was so shocked. They always say, its a small world!!! I am seeing it more and more as I get older.
