Puddles of Light

No matter where I've lived, I've almost always been able to see the sun rise. Usually, it's from behind the treeline. But I love watching how it sneaks in between the trees, casting shadows and leaving light puddles on the snow. Here, my kitchen table sits in front of the window that faces east. So it's the perfect spot to view it from. I was able to get a few good shots of it this morning. This is one of them.

That's what they look like first thing. As the sun shifts, then the ice crystals in the snow start to sparkle.

Beautiful shot. We haven't seen the sun in a week around here. I hope we get some clear skies soon.

Same here at the school house. We have a bank of windows from the East as the sun shine brightly and leave all kinds of imagination out there.Sometime the sun is so bright and we have to close the drape some.

Yes, and that glare hurts my eyes if I stare out at it too much.
