Practicing My Italian A Little

Lately I have started to practice my Italian a little more. Right now I am concentrating on listening and repeating after what I just heard. There are tons of videos on YouTube to help me out and I do appreciate this modern way of learning a language in the comfort of my own warm and cosy office. Are you into learning languages too?

We tried to learn Spanish by listening to an old LP record while we slept. There was a scratch on the record that made the needle skip. Now we stutter in Spanish!

Years ago I took Japanese lessons. Our company did a lot of business with the Japanese so they brought in teacher a few times a week. It's a very difficult language. I can still say a few sentences but they all deal with drinking! I think I'll stick with English.

Just wondering why they thought you sentences about drinking. How did that help the business?

I am always grateful for YouTube and those who shared the video tutorials for free. I learned knitting and crocheting and other handwork skills from YouTube, but have not learned a new language yet. I am going to teach my son English and Malay language soon. Perhaps I will check out YouTube and see if there are any lessons for kids that might be useful for us. Happy learning!

I think its great that you're practising Italian. I have my hands full trying to understand a little bit of Polish when at my son's place and his in-laws are around speaking it.

I live in Spain and to help me with my Spanish I listen to songs in Spanish. I find that it helps a lot with my pronunciation as I tend to sing along.
