Bringing My New Camera to Florida

I haven't had too many opportunities to use my new camera as of yet. I did the Hudson River vacation and the candlelight Christmas. I am looking forward to doing some macro flowers and wild life in Florida. I was looking for a Marshalls near our home there and the nearest one is either Orlando or Port Orange. Port Orange has a botanical garden so I think that will be my choice. I guess I will have to do a little more research and see what else is nearby.

Is that marshals the craft supplies store..... I went in one once, while on holiday .... I was in there for an hour and thirty five minutes... I loved every minute of it... we do not have many craft stores like that in the uk.... I'm a great fan of photography too...so have fun with your new camera ...

I bet you are thinking of Michael's, they are a huge chain of craft stores. Marshalls is an off price retailer where you can get sharp discounts on lots of things from clothes to household items. I can't wait to get going with some pictures. I always love yours, you have a very good eye. Has Maggs shared some of her tips, she is amazing.

Then you can make picture postcards with the flower photos and you'll always have presents if you need any.

I also had a newish DSLR camera that I have yet to use on a vacation. The thing is, it is too heavy and bulky to take on trips that I end up leaving it behind after having it packed away in my bag.

I understand that, this one is obviously much heavier than my phone or small pocket camera but I have already used it a couple times.

Florida should have some really beautiful flowers and just nature in general to photograph.

@BelleStarr I don't think you will have any problem there, except maybe choosing from all of the options.

Sometimes I think doing less research is better. It will open you to more surprises. if everything happens exactly as you have researched, there is no surprise, and the holiday is not as memorable as ever.
