It Disappeared

Technology causes me endless problems. Someday, I will recover everything that is floating out there in cyberspace. My first article of the day (typed directly into the discussion box) was almost complete. I was just checking the spelling and punctuation, when suddenly it was gone, nowhere to be found. It had been such a good account of my day. Later today I will take the time to recreate the discussion offline and when it has been edited, will copy and paste it into the box.

That is so frustrating! I have had that happen to me before too! Sometimes I can get it back and sometimes not. I thought it was my computer, maybe it's not!

It's probably just me. I cac make anything disappear, except for the things I want to get rid of.

I usually write right in the box. The other day I was using my daughter tablet and touched away from the box and it disappeared. Thankfully when I tapped the write icon it all came back.

Technology has its flaws but we depend on it. You never know when it will go bonkers so it's best to write a draft somewhere and then do the copying and pasting. I'm sure everything will turn out alright.

I try to write my discussions first in my Notepad and save it. It helps.

I always write in Word first - just a habit I've got into I guess.

That has happened to most of us at one time or another. Can be frustrating at times

Ask me how to get it back and I'll tell you how. You can't now. It's been too long. But if it happens again you can get it back.

I never write my discussion directly in the discussion box. I always type them offline and save everything in my computer.

That's life. I find when I rewrite lost material it's generally better second time around.

Oh that is troublesome. Hope doing it another way will help in the future. I haven't had that problem.....yet

I think the problem there was the post didn't go through. I mean since the words we type here in the computer are just "temporary" unless we save them, your post might have been lost when you hit the button. I guess you already have the solution at hand. By typing them first in a notepad or wordpad, you can spell check and edit them there then copy-paste on the discussion box and hit submit.
