Back In The Swing of Things

I'm finally getting back on track after the holidays! We had a really good holiday season this year. I had Thanksgiving dinner with all of my brothers and sisters for the first time since my mother passed away. It was so wonderful to see my niece Laurie after 4 years. She's quite grown up now!
And Christmas with our son and daughter in law and my brother and uncle went really well. Also this year I rang in the New Year with my sister and my son and daughter-in-law. So, I spent most of the last few weeks in town, and as much as I enjoyed it and enjoy being with them it sure is good to be back home!

Spending time with family is such a refreshing change from the usual hectic schedule. Glad to know that you had a wonderful festive season.

Spending time with family is what the holidays are all about.much more than the focus on giving or receiving gifts.

Yes! I couldn't agree more! Gifting isn't really a big focus for us anymore, with there being no small children in our family. We just really enjoy spending the time together.
