Broadway, Here She Comes!

In a much earlier post, I mentioned that my 7 year old granddaughter was discovered during her tap dancing class (the best in New York City). She takes lessons to improve her rhythm for her figure skating. Someone from the theater observed her, liked what they saw, and had her audition for Peter Pan. She got the part of an Indian. My husband and I saw the show off Broadway. It was very well done, and her performance was seamless. Afterwards, the producer allowed us to go on stage and down to her dressing room to give her flowers and take photos. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay long. She had to prepare for another show. She told me that if she doesn't make the Olympics, she wants to be a Broadway star. We shall see.

She is an ambitious little girl and quite talented. I am sure she will go far, especially with the backing she has from you and the rest of her family.

She is so cute Dianne, this reminds me that my first costume, when I was 6, was exactly the same your granddaughter is wearing.

That is wonderful, she looks so grown up here even compared to her summer pictures from camp. She really is an industrious little one isn't she with high hopes, I think that is great! I cannot imagine how proud you must have felt being in that crowd watching your little granddaughter up there doing so well, it must be a pretty happy feeling. Congratulations to her! I apologize for not stopping by earlier, I just noticed it when I went to your page.

@DianneN I didn't do much on Saturday on the site, I was busy doing other things, so I actually missed this discussion, but took from a comment that you made to me that I had missed something. I am glad that I found it, she's such a little cutie. She looks like she is getting taller and has a more mature look to her face to me. She is still adorable, but I can tell that she's growing up. We should all be that lucky to have such a hard bottom.

@Juliaacv As I said earlier, not a problem. I misread your post, since I read it so quickly, and thought you lost your power. Guess what I am sitting on now? Lol! Putting it to bed.

Oh, no need to apologize. I thought you had lost your power. Glad you didn't. She may look more grown up in her makeup. She is still a little, skinny shrimp with hard muscles. My son made me squeeze her tush. It was like a rock. Lol. I should take up ice skating! All squishy here.

@jaboUK If she wants to give up ice skating, that's okay with us, too. My daughter-in-law would be thrilled not having to wake up at 4:30 AM 3 days a week. She is simply drained.

@DianneN A portfolio needs to be started with pictures of her performances, along with any thing else like a playbill so that she will have available for future auditions that are sure to come her way as this is just a start. Her parents may want to check with a professional in how to set up a portfolio and resume
