No Gratitude!

One of the innovative products on display at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is a self cleaning toilet which, the manufacturers claim, only needs to be cleaned by a human once a year.
I thought this sounded like a marvellous idea so asked my son, who is a student, if he and his house mates would like such a labour saving device.
"No chance", he grunted.
"Why not?", I enquired, a tad disgruntled at such a firm and speedy rejection of my generosity.
"There's no way we're cleaning the toilet more often than we do now", he growled and went back to bed.

I was under the impression that students these days were clean and tidy with all the mod cons. I didn't think any of them lived in squalor and dirt like we did, back in the day!

sounds a bizarre labour saving devise - I clean the loo whenever it looks as if it needs attention

@Drosophila That may be some time away! He had a bad experience with a bit of a bunny boiler. He managed to extricate himself from that a couple of years ago and swore blind he wasn't getting involved with anyone any time soon!!
