The cabin where Henley and I live was only intended to be a weekend home. But after our son went off to live in town, we decided that we would move out here permanently. We (foolishly) thought that with it being just the two of us that we would have enough space and it would all work out just great! However, being in the antique business means a lot of clutter and there's just not enough space! Last night we had a great discussion about building on an addition that would give us more space. I'm very excited about it as we hope to start this project as soon as spring gets here! Today we will talk to some builder friends and start putting together a budget for the building materials, labor costs, etc! It's all very exciting and will be one step closer to making this really seem like it's our home now! \o/

I have been watching videos on youtube about tiny homes and houses on trailers. They are not meant to be just for camping - people do build less than 300 sq ft of houses and live there full time, sometimes with kids and pets. I like the picture of your house. It is so cute and looks so cozy.

That is a good idea. I got a shed for my clutter, but it is not big enough.

Is that your home in the photo? It looks lovely. Do you need planning permission in the States to extend your home? You do in England.

That sounds exciting. Yes it would be necessary to have enough space for your business.

That's awesome. I would love to live in a log cabin home some day. I hope I get rich and have money to build my own. I hope it all plans out for you and doesn't cost too much
