If this can help... In the very very recent past, I have been trying hard to learn how to put the diapers on.

I recall, one day (in fact evening), I was on MyLot and into a discussion/chat here. My wife was seated some steps away and peeling off some potatoes. The discussion/chat had me in laughter and she was almost shocked.She thinks many a times, that I have lost my mind and when such incidents happen, she often gives me suspicious looks. When I show her what we have been chatting at Mylot, she does not understand much of it either

I am so pleased that I live alone and no-one hears me giggling at what I read on here as they might think I am going crazy

She doesn't understand English or doesn't get the humour? An afterthought: I wonder why women know how to put dispers on while men have to learn

@thesids Ues I can indeed understand that you envisage the Lotter with whom you are having the conversation. i do the same and this makes them seem closer and not as strangers, as they might seem to others outside myLot

@mysdianait My wifey normally doesnt get the humor. She understands much of English,, though. Another reason might be, on some of these discussions, I continue chatting from where we left off at the other discussion. Also, as I have framed images of many of my friends here in my mind, I read out their responses with how their images would be.

As for the Diapers question, I am unsure. There are many things that come automatically to women as I have observed. They are blessed souls and bestowed with gifts from the Creator Himself.

Often I think I will come for just a few minutes because I have something else to do offline but then I start reading and it goes on and on and I completely forget what I should have been doing

I never have to find things to smile about as I was born that way and I am going out that way. I am convinced I was put on this earth to make people smile. I am 73 now and have always been the life of the party, in a good way, and I will go out that way.

It is indeed fun today and a certain Lotter is driving me crazy!

Of course part of the problem is that I have been stalking them to see what they are up to but it is well worth the time

thank you but I too miss another perspn who has not been back since the holidays and I wonder where she is hiding now. She certainly keeps us on our toes

i have read so many things on here in the last couple of hours that they have me in fits

I poke about a lot, following through to profiles when I read a funny comment somewhere. I am sad that not everyone gets to see the amusement that I see though.

How much I read depends on the day and my mood mostly. Yes, I enjoy the read. I also see people contradict themselves, and I see some really mislead thoughts. I honestly would rather read than post my own posts.

@vandana7 @mysdianait I have been asking about her for months, but nobody seems to know where she is. Also, I do not know about Prime, but that might be a sore subject with her. I am glad that Sunny made a brief appearance on here, but then he disappeared again without a trace.

As you know, I like to inject humour into most discusions I visit. A lot of it either goes over peoples heads or is taken the wrong way. Despite my best efforts it is often other peoples unintentional humour that is the funniest. Much to my chagrin!

I think humour, just like beauty, is in the eye of the reader. Maybe we write what we think is something serious and someone else in a different mood frame sees it as funny. Of course it does work the opposite way round too

@mysdianait @Orson_Kart There are many times when I am in a silly mood, and I will read something that was intended as serious, but my warped mind takes it in a totally different direction and I start laughing out loud (which, by the way, is a rather silly phrase, since how else does one laugh if not out loud

). Of course, it also depends upon the subject matter, because there are truly serious subjects that are never funny.

Sometimes that's all I do is read. I spend a good portion of my time either laughing or contemplating. On those days I will wind up leaving a lot of likes but laughing to much to leave comments.
