Looks like Santa knew what I really wanted

I had written just before Christmas that I needed a little pup to fill the gap my dog of thirteen years had left after her untimely death.
We wowed never to have a dog, but the children decided it was time to have one. they convinced us after a year that we need to have another dog to make the family complete.
I have been looking up all the rescue centers, online ads and stuff, but it seemed that none of the dogs we met were meant for us.
Finally when we went to a friend's place on boxing day we found the dog we were looking for.
A shih tzu pup. He is three months old and not yet house broken.. I have my hands full training him. He has a mind of his own and just wont obey commands.. but I know like all dogs we've had so far he will come around too.
He is the cutest thing I have ever seen. and that makes it hard to discipline him.

Wish you had posted a picture. I like the thing about him having a mind of his own. That spells trouble indeed

@allknowing Its trouble indeed because he is cute and gets away with everything especially when the children are around. I wanted to post his picture here...but I cannot find my phone to laptop cable. I am afraid I have misplaced it while travelling .. I am still searching.

I'm glad you were able to find the right dog for your family. Good luck with the training, I remember training our dog, it was no fun. She took a long time to house train, partially because she never vocalized her need to go out unless she was in her kennel. She has finally gotten us trained to her non-vocal cues and hasn't had an accident in the house in a long time.

I have two dogs in my house. The female one is 4 years old which is really a smart dog while the male young one is so mischievous, but funny. I love both of them. Both were spayed and neutered and are Filipino dogs.

@jaboUK I really was not willing to get another dog.. but now I know what I had missed. I know what you mean.. the main reason we wanted a small dog is because we make frequent short road trips and a small dog is easy to take with us. We don't have to depend on others.
