Stay-at-Home Moms are Jobless?

This has been a big question that boggles the minds of stay-at-home moms. At times they think of themselves as worthless because they do not have day jobs that give them salaries at the end of the month or mid-month. But come to think of it, most stay-at-home Moms have so much work to do and it seemed endless; from dawn to dusk. This is true for Moms who do not have helpers to do the chores for them. They work and work without breaks, it is up to them whether they will rest or not.
So, who says stay-at-home Moms are jobless?

Once when I was a stay at home mom I was asked if I had a job. My response was, do you mean besides taking care of five children, I do laundry, dishes, meal preparation.....the receptionist at the dentist office laughed....and apologized.

Yes, I can relate to that! Why do some people do not consider taking care of the children, cooking, cleaning the house as jobs? You made a wise answer to that receptionist. Thanks, @Morleyhunt.

I agree. Stay at home mothers have a lot of work in their hands bit were not being compensated monetarily. But it's one of my dream job if only I can afford it.

That is true, some Moms are lucky enough to take that job; of directly raising their children without worries of who will provide for the family. Thanks for your reply.

It is a common decision for mothers specially if they have babies to take care of and they do not want to leave them to a nanny or caregiver. That is true, @anh.Thanks a lot.

They are without an employer and regular pay check but they are certainly not jobless.

Being a stay-at-home is a job. I am a stay-at-home and it's a job that I love. It's a job, just not in the conventional sense, as I don't have a boss and I don't get a pay check. It is hard work, but completely worth it. It is a job in my mind. And one that I'm proud of and happy with.

Nope, being a mom is one of the greatest job ever. It is a job were you are tying to mold the future of the nation. It is a job where you make Men and Women out of little boys and little girls.

I most definitely have a full time job being a mom. I don't feel jobless at all. I take care of my children each day and I home school them so I'm their teacher as well. Plus the chores too around the home.

That is true,@LovingMyBabies, it is the hardest job that any Mom do day in and day out, so it does not mean they are jobless. Thanks for your reply.

maybe guys were asking those questions?! no guy or a single person would ever understand how hard the job is to be a mom. I've seen how mom does all her life and i don't think i have that kind of maturity the way she handles things. it's crazy that i only do a few % of what she can do everyday. though i do house chores now, nothing compare to her.

Yes, they are doing "payless" job daily, but the compensation is great: love from her family!
