Do You Remember David Bowie In This Movie?

I have never really been much of a fan of his music, but it is sad to hear that he has now passed away. When ever I think of David Bowie I instantly remember him on the movie called Labyrinth. He was so scary in the movie and played the villain really well. Do you remember him in the movie which was out in the early 80s? RIP David Bowie.

I remember the movie, but don't remember him in the movie (I don't think I ever saw it). I vaguely remember him on an HBO tv show back in the early 90's, but I can't remember what it was called. He played a funny, eccentric character.

IMDB says he was the host of the TV version of The Hunger, but not the early 90s. Wish I knew what series you mean, he was great doing comedy - hilarious in Extras & parodying himself in the promo Jazzing For Blue Jean.

@gudheart Let me know if you figure out what tv show he used to be on. It's driving me crazy that I can't remember the name!

@jend80 I found it! He wasn't a regular on the show, he made a guest appearance...it was the HBO comedy "Dream On." Wow, I remembered the episode so well I seemingly thought he was a regular character!

Jennifer Connolly is also in it! She was so young but can still tell it was her.

I do remember the movie and have only seen parts of it, never the whole movie all the way through. I wish it was on Netflix as I would try and watch it again.

In fact I just watched David Bowie's only one movie called Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence. The music from this movie is so fantastic.

I watched the movie when I was a kid. The Goblin King was, for me back then, kinda scary yet intriguing.

I loved that movie. He was in a vampire movie too that I was watched last year. I wasn't a big fan of his music either. But I did like his music in Labyrinth.

I've never been that keen on him and didn't see the film. But he was certainly innovative and I know many will miss him.

I loved Labyrinth, it was lovely. Was obsessed with the Goblin king for a while, he seemed really dark & creepy , esp that song/speech on the escher staircase about giving her the world - don't think I knew who Bowie was yet). Some of the songs were rubbish though ;-) , but heard one for the first time in ages (As The World Falls Down) on a radio Bowie tribute show & it was lovely & fluffy.
