A sad day beginning as it did with the radio conveying news of the death of one of my all time heroes, singer and actor David Bowie. It may be the grimmest morning since the assassination of John Lennon but at least Bowie died of natural causes.
The remainder of the day was quite mundane for me, though I enjoyed a few of the bottle beers I received as Christmas presents.
Here is a Bowe song in tribute to the great man. RIP David. It’s my favorite of all his songs, Kooks, from the Hunky Dory album.

"Kooks" is a song written by David Bowie, released on his 1971 album, Hunky Dory. Bowie wrote the song to his newborn son Duncan Jones.

I tend to disagree with you on one count I don't feel that cancer is 'natural causes'. Sad that he has passes however. I certainly enjoyed his work.

@celticeagle cancer can still strike even for non-smokers and people living healthy life-styles

I love this one too. I love much of his music, even in the odd years. I also loved how many picked a tribute song, and how much those songs varied

he produced so many great songs - there are a lot to choose from though Space Oddity remains his best known work

Kooks was always one of my favorite songs of his. very underrated but the other night for the first time I heard it on the radio.
