Death penalty. To be or not to be

I live in South Africa where the death penalty was taken away a few years back. In my eyes they should reinstate it. We have to many murderers in our country that gets away lightly. If someone takes a human being's life, his should be taken aswell. What makes the murderer so special to live, he/she never gave the other person/persons an option, they were just executed. Look at that guy from Crazy Monkey, but naked, hands behind his back and shot in the back of the head execution style. The guys who killed him and his buddy don't deserve to live.
