More good news for Elephants and, Rhino's. Hong Kong the worlds largest legal market for Ivory, announced it will finally phase out it's domestic legal ivory trade, this was reported by national geographic. As a lover of both animals and, a civilized human being thank you Hong Kong, it's about time, this atrocity will finally stop, they kill around 30,000 Elephants a year in the ivory trade, in closing this is the best news I have heard in a long time and, will go a long way to increase their population.

@TRBRocks420 That is good news! I wish animals weren't hunted for some stupid reason in the first place.

Me too it's very sad, because these are beautiful and, highly intelligent and, caring animals, the Elephant could rival even the most compassionate or protective human.

@TRBRocks420 It is sad and just not fair. Humans invade a lot of the homes of where animals live. And they live there innocently.

And they kill Rhinos, hunt them down to near extinction for the horn which they think is an aphrodisiac, it has no medical or scientific basis and purely BS. This is good news, if they want ivory, they can use synthetic from a tree seed or extinct mammoth ivory which is legal.

Yes, it's very sad, that it has gone on so long, but I am glad they are finally going to put a stop to it. Elephants and, Rhino's are both amazing animals and, deserve to live their lives like the rest us, to use them as a aphrodisiac is a atrocity to man kind, but yes like you say they can use synthetic or extinct mammoth horns.
