I must say I am not looking forward to the MIR, I am in a way scared of new tests even though it is just a giant X-ray machine. I hope I don`t have to be there long, I have to pee a lot :) I know I have to do this to get to the next level of getting well, so wish me luck.

I guess MIR must be what we call MRI. They are very noisy - like lying inside a road drill - so if you are invited to take along your own music, pick something really loud.

@andriaperry I guess a lot depends on which part of you goes into the machine. Or maybe MIR and MRI aren't the same.

Good luck with your tests. I have had them and they are not bad. If you are claustrophobic ask if they have an open mri. Even if they don't it won't be too bad. Pick something to think about to keep your mind off the test. It will turn out fine.

@andriaperry Did it work? Were you able to have an open one? I haven't seen the open one yet.

My sister did not take long. I think if you can lay still it goes faster. My brother told her to close her eyes if she was feeling claustrophobic.

I don't mind the MRI's too much, as long as it is an open one. I get claustrophobic in closed spaces.

Good luck! Seriously, I hope it isn't too traumatic and it is all for the good.
