What major department stores are closing by you? In my area the first to close was JC Pennys. The second office depot, Sport Aurthty just close around April 2016 Macy will be closing their store. We still have a Sears but I know they are closing store nationwide. The mall in my area. Had JC Penney. Macy is in it and so is Sears. One major thing that making stores closed is on line sales are doing good .other reason in my area no jobs no money for people to shop.

Online shoppers, like myself, probably play a major role in down turn of business.

Here a supermarket called Taste is the closest to our building. It takes me about five minutes going there on foot. In the past it was Jesco but it had changed to Taste several years ago. I like Jesco because they sell more products, not only the food but also the toys.

The ones in our area did all their closing 3 or 4 years back, not the buildings remain empty - testament to a broken economy.

We don't have any major stores near us at all to begin with.
