I hate having to get up earlier that I have to in the morning to defrost and deice my frozen car. It is hard enough getting up early in the morning as it is!
Wouldn't it be great if someone created a device or something that would de-ice a car almost instantly. I know there are antifreeze sprays, but that still requires us going outside and spending 15 minutes spraying all the windows and leaving the car on for awhile.
Watch this space...maybe a new device will be introduced soon enough! LOL

In the good old days all we needed to do was put a newspaper on the windscreen and secure it with the windscreen wipers. It worked well if it wasn't a windy night.

That is a brilliant idea, and I don't see why it wouldn't work today. The only problem is that I don't get a paper, and non of my papers do either. Luckily, you can still buy them at a gas station.

most fords in the UK have more or less instant defrosting.
quick clear windscreens are one of the reasons i used to regularly buy fords.
You get in, turn the key and turn on the defrost button and it clears quickly.

My mom used to put a small heater up under the hood of the car. Her poor old car always started on the cold icy mornings.

I do - its called a garage! LOL....
Doesn't your car have a defrosting system for the windows? I didn't think they made vehicles w/o that.

Thankfully my car is in the garage and my days of having to scrap ice off windshields are over
