Our garlic vine (Mansoa alliacea) has not bloomed this year

We have had this creeper for many years and each year it used to bloom atleast twice but this year I do not see any signs that it will. The weather is such that everything is getting delayed in our garden. Our Bougains have not come out in full measure. These flowers fill our garden with colour. I have a few video clips of our garlic vine when it was there in all its splendour

I absolutely HATE garlic, despite it being so very popular with most people. I remember a friend of mine suggesting eating garlic before travelling to Greece in order to deter mosquitoes, but I decided that I would rather put up with the mosquitoes.

This has nothing to do with the normal garlic. This is a vine with those beautiful flowers and as is the case with many herbs this too has health properties.

@allknowing So it will not protect you from Dracula, which means you are still in danger from any prowling vampires during the night.

The leaves smell like garlic and this I experienced only after reading about it on the Net. This vine has several health properties but like any other such plants in my garden I hardly use them.

You will complain about the weather again next year. La Nina will hit once El Nino effect goes off. That will bring flood to my place.

The garlic vine does not grow in our country. Do you know why it is called garlic vine, do the flowers smell like garlic?

@allknowing I see, like the big leaves of the little white winter flower that we call "bear garlic" (I do not know why bear). Here is a photo.

@LadyDuck I have similar flowers in my garden. I have not smelt the leaves though. Does your plant smell like garlic too?

It is a plant that I have never seen, but it is beautiful. Does it give you garlic cloves or just smell like garlic?

Only the leaves smell like garlic and I understand they have health properties.
