Winter has arrived in the South

OK, when it dips below freezing for a day or two I don't mind, but falling all the way to 18 degrees wasn't part of the deal! It will be that low, or lower, tonight.
We don't take chances, we leave a faucet dripping in the house and in the workshop. The last thing anyone needs is frozen pipes.
But I am sorta of chuckling because watching the national weather it looks like the northeast (our old stomping grounds) has a good shot at a big snow storm later in the week.
As of today's report they think the most snow will be right over I-95 from Washington, DC up to Philly to New York. I know weather reports change, but they are due, over-due, for snow. It is late January after all.
It is cold here but the sun is out and I don't have to go anyplace!

How I wish to have a colder weather in my country, but even it's not summer yet, we are struggling the tropical season.

It is the same temperatures here. It is very cold today with a temperature of 18 F for tonight. But, it is clear and sunny ,so no snow is forecast right now.

@AbbyGreenhill It stayed low all the day, now it's already 6:30 in the evening and we are back to 22, at least the wind stopped blowing.

I'e been watching the forecast to see if that snow will hit us this weekend but so far it's iffy. Bound to happen sooner or later

It hasn't been real cold here in southern Oklahoma yet either. Today will be in the lower 40s, but little wind. Tomorrow is supposed to be back up in the 50s, but windy. We got some snow on Saturday, but it was gone by Sunday. It got down to 25 last night, we haven't seen the teens yet. I am ready for spring!
