~Things Change So Much With A Little Bit Of Faith~

This is going to be a little longer than the usual discussions of mine. It is worth the read though, I think! This is my personal testimony. Some of you may already have read my testimony through past discussions but if you haven't here it is. Let's take a trip back to six months ago. We were in NC in our home-with a landlord that was making accusations about us that were just not true at all. He thought because we were a younger couple, having trouble paying our bills and because we had a Rottweiler that we were doing drugs-which my husband and I have never done in our lives! So...we decided it was time to move and not deal with him anymore. (The actual reason we couldn't pay the rent on time is because my husbands company was slow and our truck was stolen along with $2,500 that was in it from a job he did). We had very little money coming in at the time so we moved in with my parents. We had a hard time living there, my father is very stubborn and his house/his rules applies always no matter how old you are. Our children were very miserable there because he also believes children are meant to be seen NOT heard. My father wouldn't let our dogs stay at his house either so a friend of ours took them in. My husband was looking for a job there, applying everywhere but found nothing steady. His brother in law called one day and offered him a job in FL. Since nothing was happening he decided to take the job. He came to FL alone to get things in order for us before we all came. We moved to FL and shortly after my husband got hurt while trying to help our youngest daughter. He could not work because he couldn't walk on his ankle-he tore up ligaments and tendons. So...we were begging people for money to feed our family and we were about to lose our motel room due to lack of money to pay for it. We didn't know what we were going to do. We were scared and all we could do was PRAY for a miracle to happen! That is exactly what happened. My husband said there has to be a Church here willing to help us. We won't give up, we will ask Churches for food and a place to stay possibly. We stopped by a local church and everything changed for our family... Our Church has been an amazing blessing to our family. God led us to our church and they did what He wanted them to do. They fed us, clothed us, put a roof over our heads, provided Christmas and birthdays for our children, gave us furniture for our new home and gave us a car too!! They are truly Godly people. Now...we went from being homeless and begging at gas stations for food to my husband working full time and our family getting a home this week! With a little bit of faith God can give you a miracle too. Yes it takes time-His time always-not ours. My testimony in a nut shell for you...Miracles happen every day and we got ours so don't lose faith! Whether it takes 6 months or 10 years God is working in your life. He is always there no matter what.

Your post brought tears to my eyes . You are so right that God does care and he will take care of us when we put him first in our lives . I'm thankful he directed your family to a church who practiced what they preached.

@1creekgirl I hope they were happy tears! God really does love and care about us, we have had that proven to us for sure. We are so glad we were brought to our church as well-they do exactly what the Bible & God tells them which I find amazing because it is so rare now a days to find that.

@LovingMyBabies yes, I do believe in time the Lord will answer. Right now we really need a miracle because the Syrian refugees are coming our way to Latvia and I truly believe we will eventually have to move out of here.

What a beautiful testimoney. You are so right that God is there and will work miracles in our lives, if only we call upon Him and let him lead. It is always his will and not ours. Some people only call on God when things are going good, and not when things are bad, but that is the time we need him the most, and he is just waiting for us to call on him. We don't always get the answers that we seek, as he does't always think that what we are asking for is in our best interst. We just have to have faith, and he will work it out to his honor and glory. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.

@rosekiss Thank you. I felt bad that it was so long but in order for everyone to understand it had to be. God is so amazing and we should let go and let God. I wish I let God lead from the start but I was blinded by worry at first. God is always good!

I'm glad to hear God has blessed you. I lost track of how many times I've been homeless. 4 Times, I was alone with 3 children. Years later, after my children were all grown, my son had 2 children and got custody of them. I gave up my job and apartment and put all my things in storage to move in with him and take care of his children, He was angry and upset with me, as if it was my fault and I wanted to sleep on his couch. I ended up losing everything in storage and homeless again. A friend let me stay with her. It's been about 6 months, it didn't work out with the step brother. Here I am again on his couch taking care of my grandchildren. My son now treats me better and appreciates me and I have a car. I never gave up on him, or especially praying for my grandchildren. There is no need to give up when we have the Lord. He will never leave us, He promised.

@PrarieStyle We have been homeless a few times as well in the past-usually due to our own stupid decisions as we realize now looking back. You are absolutely right-the Lord is constant and He will always help us through no matter what we go through. I'm glad your son treats you better now.

The Lord certainly does do things in His time. :) I was saved when I was about fourteen, and things have been rough at times, but He's always helped me through.

And thru it all you stuck together as a family, that is so important. I hope that you never loose site of those humble beginnings and take things for granted or become jaded to others' needs in your community. This is a lovely story.

@Juliaacv Yes we will always stick together through thick and thin, that will never change. We helped others through all of it so we definitely won't lose sight of what we have been through or where we started.
