Can you really earn up to 500SB for watching videos on Swagbucks?

I recently joined Swagbucks and after browsing it to see the different ways I can earn on there I stumbled upon the Watch section that lets you earn SB (SwagBucks) for watching videos. When I went to the Watch section to see how much watching videos pays I saw this message "you can earn up to 500 SB a day for watching unique videos." I thought that it would be interesting to do this. I will get to watch interesting videos and earn lots of SB, which I can later redeem for PayPal cash. After browsing the videos available for watching I noticed that all of them pay anywhere from 1SB to 3SB to watch a video playlist. With such a low payout for watching a single video playlist how is it possible to earn that much in a day? Is there something that I am missing...?

Thats what I doing now. I open my account and did very little with it for a few years. I read how people here doing well there and I start to view the videos. I can do about 50SB's a day but that does depend on my things. I'm currently at 732SB's and hope to get to 900 so I can get £5 about $7.50 into my PayPal account.

@lovebuglena Some are longer than others, I looked around and in travel I see short video set or the videos aren't long before the next one, so far today I'm at 21SB's. I guess it's the same as anything else if you don't put the time in you won't get out. I guess it all depends on the time you can spend at your computer. I let the video play in the background.

@kevin1877uk It doesn't seem like all the video playlists would add up to 500 SB because if each video pays 1-3 SBs you'd need to watch hundreds of video playlists to get there and it doesn't seem like there are that many in existence.

With videos it's tough because sometimes they don't load or you watch the entire video but for whatever reason it doesn't say Watched on the video and you have to let it play again. To earn around 50SB you'd have to watch a lot of videos... especially since each playlist has a number of videos in it. I am not sure I'd have the patience for that.

I am a member there, but I havent't been doing it as much as I should. I use my swagbucks app on the iPhone, and I do let it go for awhile, but not all day. I know there are some that get that much each day. I have never made that much in one day or even one week, but then I need to do it more than I have been, now that it is a new year. I am cerainly going to give it a chance though, and see how it goes. I am enjoying it so far. It would be nice if we got more SB for the videos though. Oh well, as long as they pay, that is all I am worried about it.

@lovebuglena I use the app, and I believe you have to watch 5 videos to earn SB. I know it seems slow, but I have over 500 SB right now. It will take me a long time to get to the firs payout, but I will get there eventually. I just run the vidoes at night for a little bit, and then wait until the next night, as it uses a lot of battery on my phone, so I am careful not to do to much.

Today, I looked to see if there is an active swag code I can use to get me some SB. That is when I discovered there is a swagbucks app. I wonder what it does and if it is worth getting. Videos should definitely give more SB than they do. It is just too little, especially when we have to watch many videos in the playlist to earn them.

@rosekiss I am a bit over halfway to my first 2500 SB. Can't wait to finally reach it. I'd probably have gotten more SBs already had I been more active or had more luck with qualifying for surveys. And doing the offers thing probably would have helped to get me there faster but for some reason I can't bring myself to do any of them. I should try shopping from swagbucks. I do need to get me a few things... that can help increase my SB.

I asked the same question myself and I have been with swagbucks for several years. It is very hard to earn very much watching videos. It takes a long time to earn 50 swagbucks by watching videos. I also have constant problems with the videos. When I am trying to watch 20 videos at a time, my computer keeps crashing.. A lot of members are complaining about all the problems with videos.

It doesn't seem like there is any way to earn that much SB in a day just for watching videos unless there is something that I haven't discovered yet. It is frustrating though when you watch a whole playlist but for whatever technical reason it doesn't count every video and you don't get credited the SB you actually earned.

@bostonphil For videos that play over and over... I've tried to refresh the page, I've paused and played again and nothing changed. Surprisingly though I've managed to watch I think 4 or 5 playlists and got credited for them all.

You would have to watch videos day in and day out to make that much, they are only worth a a point or two. I use swag to search only and and recently they have been giving up to 50 points - I got 50, and 40 and 49 in the same day, that's very unusual.

@Raelove I probably search 10-12 things a day. I am always searching for something and the more you search the more times that box will pop up.

It seems rare that I earn something from searching. Perhaps it depends on what you search for or during what time of the day...

@lovebuglena I search for all kinds of this, I don't think it matters. I imagine it's random.

It might be possible some videos on sites are worth more than others usually the kind of videos that ask you questions afterwards which is usually to make sure you watched it. Some of the videos like the one i am talking about can be as much as 25-300 points/credits its nice to get the swag bucks and get the gift cards but getting the points isn't always easy.

Where do you find such videos? I've scrolled through lists of videos and never found any that pay that much. The most I've found are those that pay 4SB, maybe 5SB.

Swagbucks seems to have gotten crummy lately, especially this month. I used to earn $250 a month. Lately, they won't let me use my iPad for videos, increased the amount of time and points for videos, limited good NCrave, and have made it more difficult to qualify for surveys. In the past, I would let an old phone run all night and wake up to pleasant surprises. Hoping they will get their act together.

This is the maximum they allow, but I don't ever have to worry about hitting it - I'm never even close. I only do that on the side while multi-tasking other activities . . . the SBs don't rack up fast on those Watch videos alone. I suppose if someone actually sat there for hours upon hours to do it, maybe it's possible, but it's not worth the time. I did decently with nCrave, but for whatever reason it doesn't seem to be available to me anymore.

@lovebuglena I do them as I multi-task with other "activities" online - then I don't have to look or think about them. And I only do the low video amounts - like 3 or 4 videos for 1SB - I don't want to waste my time with 20 if they may not credit!

It is definitely not worth the time... because it pays so little. And it could be time wasted for nothing when all the watched videos do not say "watched" on them and you end up not getting those SBs.

It seems too difficult. I have earned about 127 SB till now after I joined. I haven't tried out the videos yet. But from what you say, I think it's a waste of time.

From my personal experience watching videos is a waste of time... And I can't say I am very excited about watching the videos that are offered either. But that is just me.
