My apologies for being away for a day or two, but hopefully I shall get to all the writings written in my absentia. Our local connection failed in the week and the Network has been busy trying to get it restored. It's at times like these that we realize just how significant a role the modern technology plays in our lives. I could not send nor receive emails. I could not establish a connection to the web. I could not check my banking on line. I could not even connect my whatsapp and my Data is not totally depleted. I felt quite abandoned - like I was left in a room alone. How marvelous to find that the internet was back up and running this morning even though the wifi has not yet been fixed. The service provider has said they would contact me in the day to change the settings to ensure our wifi is up and running as well. For now, I have a cuppa coffee in hand, a few notifications to read and then a long perusal of those writings I have missed. Please remember to suggest the good ones. Good Morning to you all.

I wondered why I haven't seen you. I'm glad your system is back up. I can imagine you felt like you were in a room all alone.

No we cannot be here all the time - that would be putting our lives on hold. I missed everyone but not in a way that it made me feel forlorn. I had plenty to do with two games of Lawn Bowls and then supper with friends.

Sometimes it surprises us just how much we miss the internet connection, despite not having such anything like it for so long in the past. As soon as we become accustomed to a new technology it rapidly seems to become essential to our lives.

I am here half and half - the wifi is still not working, so that means all portable devices are still on the blink. No ipad etc.

We are so much dependent to the new technologies that we are lost without the Internet connection. I am glad that it's back for you.

At some point, most of us get to the stage where we really can't function properly without the internet.

I have been there. It doesn't bother me too much because I do have other thing to do. But, it does remind us how much we use the internet these days.
