Tangelos from Florida

Have a honeybell on me today!

For the past two years, my dad had sent me a box of honeybell tangelo oranges from Florida. He also sends my brother a box too. He stays in Osprey Florida from December to March and goes to Brown's Grove in Sarasota. While I'm waiting for my box to come in next week, here's two tangelos from half of my brother's box I've gotten last week. They're easy to peel and sweet to eat. Here's a photo of two honey bell oranges I'm going to share to you and to @GayleHarrelson today: the small one I'm going to have as a snack, the big one I'm using for smoothies next week. Have you had a tangelo orange before?

I don't think that they grow in Europe.

Good point. Maybe when you visit the USA. Too bad they can't be shipped over there.

My husband loves them, and drives out of his way to get them from a fresh produce market here in Florida. They are easy to peel and so sweet! Enjoy every drop!!!!!

@just4him I'm still waiting to get my box from my dad. He's supposed to call the orchard farm last week and get back to me with an update. I still have my brother's box to work with. They're good and juicy though.

I have tried tangelos, but I do not really like the taste, I prefer the oranges.

these sound like a cross between an orange and a tangerine. never heard of them before
