My neighbor called upset that she is having a girl instead of a boy. I told her as long as it's healthy its ok. She was upset and said,no I wanted a boy. So,during our talk I said the good thing also is that you can save up and use your other daughter's clothes. She was like I am not putting second hand clothes on my child. I will buy new ones. I said,I wish you luck with that. Oh well shut me right on up.

odd how s ome people think its awful to pass on clothes from an older child to a younger one.but if one do es not have a l arge budget for clothes things can be difficult and passng on outgrown dresses helps that person

How awful to respond that way to your unborn child. It makes me glad I didn't know until it was born what it was.

@sharon6345 I'm certain you would have loved it even if it were a boy.

Hope she changes her attitude quick about the girl she is having as research has shown this could affect the child.

That sounds very selfish of your neighbor. And I don't see anything wrong with using her other childs clothes for her newborn.

@sharon6345 I would think it's good news, now knowing her healthy baby is a girl ~ she can use hand me downs from the older child. When I was younger, I used hand me downs too!

@sharon6345 Yes, I completely agree. She should be thinking long term not short term. Those kids will grow out of the clothes so fast. My friend when she had her first was buying all name brand $100 baby pants.

I would be happier with whatever i have as long as the baby is healthy. I don't mind second hand clothes it is cheaper and gets used the same way. Sounds like she is selfish in her own ways. I hope she will be happy once the baby is here.
