Random Word Post – lees

I find a random word by flipping through my 2003 The New Webster’s Concise Dictionary and write a quick – often silly – little post about it. # “lees – (lez) Sediment, esp. of wine, dregs. From the Old French lie” I guess I drink good quality wine so I don’t have to deal with lees. Oh wait, I don’t drink wine. I guess it isn’t exclusive to wine, you could have lees in vodka.
