You have those days I know everybody here knows what I am talking about. Those days when you wake up and you just know its too good to be true that your days going so well.Your children aren't giving you a hard time. They were on time, no rushing and no fighting. That however all ended after work. I got home shortly after our son did. Then it was like thing 1 and thing 2 were in my house. They were full of energy. Their mother had cleaned and rearragned things and she was tired. They were driving her nuts toys everywhere, running, jumping and very loud. She was able to get them calm after a while. When she put them down to bed she sat down next to me and we realized she had only 1 of her sneakers on and 1 slipper on. She said I was so crazy I didn't know if I was coming or going. I guess she was ready for both lol.

I have certainly had days like that. In fact, the other day I came home and had a bunch of things to do before I needed to get the child off the bus. I started doing this, saw that and realized I needed to take care of it, but on my way to do that I got distracted by this other thing. I had started a bunch of different things but hadn't completed any. By the time I actually had finished them all I had just enough time to get out before the bus came, but I couldn't find my darn jacket. Then I realized I was still wearing it ... I had taken my boots off but never made it to taking my jacket off before I started all those tasks.

@lokisdad I have those days quite often, especially on Mondays and Tuesdays. We do clean and such on the weekend, but we also try to spend some quality family time together. I am not sure why, but that equals WAY more mess when Monday comes around.

I know those days and they suck so bad. I try to keep lists and alarms to ensure I kill myself and get nothing done and then when iI am actually able to get it done I feel insane.

When I and my husband opted to go for early retirement, rushing is no longer part of our routine. We live a more relaxed life now.

I think when the kids get a little older we will get a chance to relax a bit more but until then we won't get a chance to really relax or slow down much .

It makes you realize how hard it was for your parents when you were young and they were always going and moody and you weren't sure why now I know.

I have way too many days like that. I have my elderly father living in our home. I also look after some of my grandchildren regularly.
