~Educational TV Day For My Kids~

Today is educational only TV day for my children. No matter what they watch it has to be something they can learn from. First they were watching Magic school bus and now their watching Wild Kratts both very educational. Earlier they watched a documentary for kids about the underground railroad and Harriet Tubman on Youtube. Friday's will be educational TV day even when we move into our new house too. Of course their school work comes first which they already did this morning. For not feeling good I think I am doing okay with their Home School day.

As long as the kids are learning something interesting, it's a good day for them.

That is a really great idea to have an educational TV day. I babysit a school aged boy during the summer and this sounds like a great idea for him as he likes to sit around and watch TV and I don't like that. I should pick a day during the week and do this with him. Thanks for the idea!! Have fun

@T_gray Oh good, your welcome! The kids love it and yet they are still learning which is awesome. =) There is so much on TV that they can learn from (even when they don't realize their learning). Lol.

@T_gray Yeah we are using Netflix for it and they have been watching shows like Magic school bus, Wild Kratts, Curious George, etc. There are lots of them on there.

@LovingMyBabies That is very true. I have noticed that from some of the shows today. And I have cable and Netflix. So he should have plenty to pick form

I have strep throat this week. We've been watching a lot more tv than usual. Haha. He does his workbook pages, reads to me, and then watches educational tv to finish off his day. Right now he's watching popular mechanics for kids.

@LovingMyBabies I hope we both feel better soon, too! Sometimes these are the best days to have. We've had a crazy year this school year anyway though. So there was no way I was giving him any extra days off this month. Ha.

That's a really great idea, more parents should do that. I was sick yesterday and wasn't here. I hope you feel better.
