The sun is setting as I look out mu window Sunset colors striving to shine their brightest For they know they only have a short time To be in this day's spotlight before the Evening shadows overtake and come forth But on this almost cloudless day Evening shadows to won't have long Before the moon and stars come forth To chase away shadows and give Their light to shine in the darkness Shortly I will go out in the starlit night To my Friday night meeting with delight Thankful for the star and moonlit sky Welcoming me as I go down the road To learn more of the everlasting light that shines
