I made a turkey meatloaf for dinner because the cost of hamburger is so high now, besides turkey has less fat and calories. I added flax meal, egg, a little oatmeal, part of a pepper small onion..and put ketchup on top.The flax was a new addition and I usually put bread in instead of oatmeal..How do yo make your meatloaf? Do you ever change it up?

I am not a fan of meatloaf. However, I do get asked to make it for my clients quite often. They never complain so I guess I am doing it right. I chop onion and add it to the burger along with an egg, diced tomatoes, garlic, and bread crumbs. I sometimes add ketchup to the top of it. Other times I slice tomatoes and place them on top with a little shredded cheese.

yep, there are many variations. I once made an Indian meatloaf which included indian spices, and yogurt in the mix. I might try making that again, it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be.

@snowy22315 I have put a layer of cheddar cheese in the middle of the meatloaf. My clients love it this way.

I use bread crumbs rather than oatmeal, mustard, ketchup, relish, onion and garlic powders. SHH don't tell anyone in my family I use relish, they don't know. I might try flax meal one time, I know it's healthier. I've heard you have to be careful about flax though as it can constipate you.
