Saturday started out dark and rainy, then gave us a sun break

The day started with heavy dark clouds and a number of heavy downpours, then morphed into somewhat sunny Saturday afternoon, though clouds threatened in the near distance.
Since we had one errand to do, took care of that, then stopped at nearby Delta Ponds or a walk. The sun made a short guest appearance and the mid-forties sunshine was pleasant if you walked briskly.
There was little activity at the very full ponds, some Canada geese lounging on the bank and a few diving Bufflehead ducks bobbing in the current. There were some very cute dogs being walked as well and that helped make the walk a pleasure.
I hope that the weather brought you sunshine and a pleasant day as well.

Glad yo got to see the sun, windy and wet at time in Plymouth but mild.

Nope. It was overcast and drizzled from about 1:00 on. It was very wet outside. I ran a quick errand early and then stayed inside. I could see lots of cars driving by all day. Perhaps they were getting their errand finished before the storm that is forecast for today. Lots of heavy rain, thunder, lightning and wind is on the agenda. I took down my wind chime and bird feeder, so I'm ready. I'll unplug my computer when I'm finished here too.

I am glad to hear that rain is falling in your area. I talked to a friend in Van Nuys last week and he said there has still been very little.

@ElizabethWallace Anne grew up in Granada Hills (still had orange groves). Her parents opened the second IHOP franchise in Calif which was in Northridge, then had one in Granada Hills.

@JamesHxstatic He should have received quite a bit today. Everywhere was pretty well soaked, even the Valley. (I grew up in the Valley, started in Panorama City, next to Van Nuys and ended up in Sepulveda, now called North Hills).

It was a very nice day, although I do detect some inward movement of weather today, Sunday. I actually saw clouds last evening. Hubby has a lengthy commute during the week and we live in an area that has a river as well as a couple of lakes.He has been seeing bald eagles in the trees along the river. We have snow geese this winter, which we do not usually do. We have lots of Canada Geese and Mallard Ducks in particular.

We live quite close to a small lake and the Delta Ponds are nearby too. Bald Eagles are seen frequently around the lakes and the two rivers in the area. Feeding birds and watching them is an addiction.

Yes! I have been hating these dark, dreary days. We got only a little bit of sun yesterday, but even that made a difference. Not sure if you feel this way, but I just feel generally in a better mood and more productive on days with sun. Maybe it's the vitamin D!

I am proudly a Canadian (and -an American too) and I love our geese. I hear them in the fall and the spring honking as they fly by but enjoy them all summer too. I have run away from the cold we usually get but the cold never showed up. I am in the south and the sun, the sand is delightful but my kids and friends are saying there has been no winter ....yet, in Ontario. What?

It is Sunday morning here and the weather is fine. The sun is out but it isn't that hot. Glad it didn't rain the whole day in your place and you were able to enjoy a walk.
