Did I go overboard with my clothes purchase?

Last night I went to Target and spent through the nose on clothes. I'm not usually a clothes horse, but last night I let it all hang out. I bought two pair of jeans for $18 each, for a total of $36. Have you ever spent wildly on clothes? Do you think I went over the top?

Well you would need to buy two pairs of jeans, one pair for the front legs and one pair for the back legs

@TheHorse ...Turn them inside out when you wash them. Do you wash things on cold?

Hmmm. Interesting. Clothes horse eh? Well now. If you paid under $20 for a pair of jeans that fit you did good. Guess you are a savvy shopper even if you didn't mean to be. LOL

@TheHorse I think so. The carpenter is looking for his pants. You might want to return them.

I did (buy two of the same). I've been wearing mostly Carpenter pants lately, but want to get back to jeans. Most of mine are wearing out.

@infatuatedbby I used to wear Levis exclusively. But these Lees from Target are good enough, and they're inexpensive. Check 'em out!

OMG! That is the regular price for those jeans, pony! You got rooked but good! At the very least, please put the Target app on your phone and check the in-store price against the online price before paying for them! Target, K-Mart and Walmart will all match their online prices in the stores now! (smh!)

@mommaj LOL! I didn't say anything about how well the jeans fit pony, now did I? I imagine he got a really good price for denim jeans made to fit a pony, though! So that means I am NOT fashion police!

I can't say because our jeans cost a lot more then that up here, our prices are generally higher. So, in my books, you got a steal of a deal, enjoy your new jeans!

I am thinking you are being a little tongue-in-cheek, or you do not clothes shop often. $36 for two pairs of jeans is a great deal if you ask me.

@TheHorse It's fine to spend money for something we need. Sometimes I find myself buying something only because "it's nice"... so the house is full of stuff we never use.

@DianneN Somewhere around $60 a pair for jeans? Notice, I said somewhere around, not exactly on the money! LOL! Although, you might go as high as $100 a pair, depending on brand. Am I close with either guess?

Target was actually surprisingly benign. It wasn't too crowded, and the checker was nice. I escaped without thoughts of wishing I had a flamethrower with me.

If I'm shopping for clothes and only end up with 2 things, I consider it a bad shopping day! Ha! I'm a little bit clothing obsessed though. It's not uncommon for me to spend $100 on clothes at once, and I usually only buy clothes that are on sale.

@TheHorse...clothes horse? Oh now that's a good one. What a buy!!!! I think I've still got some jeans in my closet from when I was 16. You did good. I have such a hard time getting jeans to fit. I've got a 26" waist-line and a 34" inseam. If the waist fits, then they're too short. If they're long enough, then I need suspenders and a belt to hold them up. Geez!!

I'm not much of a clothes buyer, so when I do I love finding a bargain and something I love all in one fell swoop. I got a fluffy warm sweater last week and have worn it a lot since it has been cold here. It's nice to have something new every once in a while (for me about once a season I get one thing.)
