I Need a Drink

I don't drink, and haven't done so in over 40 years, but today qualifies and my day hasn't barely begun yet. I was in the middle of my Bible Study, no that's not quite right either. I had only gotten it read and hadn't even gotten as far as putting a title to Nehemiah 5 yet when the phone rang. It was the bank about my mortgage. She went through her spiel and asked me if I had any questions. I swear I sent in what was necessary. I sent in more than was necessary. However, they want ALL the pages, even those that have no bearing on the mortgage because I'm not filing taxes this year and didn't do so last year. To make matters worse I can't find said pages I didn't send in, but I did find the ones they don't want. They should have all been together. I know I'm not the most organized person on the planet, but I generally have a good idea where things are in my office, and everything of a like item is generally together. Not this time. Then she also said I didn't send in complete bank statements. Of course not. I didn't send in the second page if there was nothing pertaining to the account on it. They want that page too. Then they want a break down of ALL expenditures for the month - everything. (there isn't a pulling my hair out emoticon) So now I have to figure out every penny I've spent and send that too them too. What I don't need to send them - my Social Security Award letter, or the Social Services history. Those were part of what I sent them along with the incomplete bank statements because I didn't want to send useless pages. So now I feel like I'm back at square one. I thought (my mistake) I had sent everything I needed because I had gone through this once before when I kept getting letters from them for more information. I'm ready to give up and let the house go. I should get the new packet in the mail by the end of the week. Frankly, is this all worth it? (no shrugging emoticon) Okay, this is the start to my day. It can't get worse, I won't let it. Now I return you to your regularly scheduled posts. While I get back to my Daily Bible Study and will have that for you as soon as I'm finished with it. If you think I have problems, read Nehemiah 5. Thanks for reading.

That must be so frustrating for you, especially as you'd already sent them what you thought they'd need.

I've been going over that conversation all day, and I think they lost that paper they said I didn't send. I distinctly remember signing that page and stapling it with the rest so it wouldn't get lost when it reached its destination. Now I need to start all over again.

@jaboUK It's getting the expenses together they want that I'm concerned with. I hope that will be an easy thing to figure out.

I would let customer service know that they must get their act together. I'll have that drink for you.

I don't know. I had heard those were not good, even though I've seen a lot of commercials for it lately. I've only had the house for 8 years and it's been in foreclosure for a bit over a year now as I'm trying to work something out with the bank.

@sugartoes I know, but I also know I don't have enough for the security deposit for another place either. I was also told by NeighborWorks to stay until they force me out. Once I get the final decision from them I'll get myself on the low income housing list and the senior housing as well since I qualify for that. I know I'll never be able to pay what they want for housing here. It's ridiculous.

@just4him Well Val, very good luck to you... I always found going through a mortgage adviser the easier route, as they tend to ease the paperwork and answer provider's endless questions on your behalf, so less stressful for you

@bookbar That is most likely true. However, I'm in foreclosure so need to deal with the bank. I've now sent in the packet for the second time today. Hopefully they won't lose the paperwork this time. Yes, I sent them everything the last time, they lost it. So now I wait again for the verdict on whether the foreclosure will go through or I will be able to keep my home and get a reduction in the loan amount.

Not sure what you mean. I got the decision last time when I finally got them all the info they wanted. I was hoping to see it by now as well, not get a phone call asking for more.
