This little post is for all the folks that are confused and wondering.
This little guy with a towel on his back is Peter. Peter burro. (Spanish for donkey.)
I snapped this photo last year. I had not known Peter long. I was curious to see how tame he was. Would he accept something on his back? Would he have a tantrum? He had accepted the halter nicely so on to the next step.
You can see that he did not care. I have no idea how old Peter is. I suspect he is a grandfather in age but I really don't know.
Peter does tell me loud and clear that somebody hit him. I am very slow and easy with him when I have something like a shovel near him cause he tries to run away when he sees a long object like a shovel. Poor guy.

@Marcyaz When our dogs or even cats get too close to Peter he ducks his head at them in a threatening way. Pete had a chunk of carrot the other day. Our Siamese boy wandered over. Pete warned him that he had best not come very close or he would get what for!
